World Environment Day 2026
In observance of World Environment Day 2026, 32-Maniram Phalidara GPU successfully organized a five-day Himalayan Clean Up Campaign from 1st June to 5th June 2026. The campaign aimed to promote environmental conservation, cleanliness, waste management, and community awareness through a series of activities conducted across the GPU.
Day 1 - 1st June 2026
A cleanliness drive was conducted from Lower Phalidara to Maniram Dara.
Day 2 - 2nd June 2026
The cleanliness drive continued from Maniram Dara to Bhanjyang-The activity focused on maintaining cleanliness along public pathways and creating awareness among the local community regarding proper waste disposal practices.
Day 3 - 3rd June 2026
A special sanitation drive was undertaken at Alley Ward, where drainage channels were cleaned and accumulated debris was removed to improve hygiene and ensure the smooth flow of water.
Day 4 - 4th June 2026
A combined Cleanliness and Plantation Drive was organized at Amrit Sarovar Site. The activity included cleaning the surroundings area and planting saplings to enhance green cover and promote environmental sustainability.
5th June 2026 (World Environment Day)
On the occasion of World Environment Day, a Special Gram Sabhe 400TH SIKKIN conducted at 32-Maniram Phalidara GPU. The programme focused on environmental awareness and sustainable village development.
