GRAM SABHA 2026 on GPDP 2026 - 2027 SELECTION OF SHRAVAN KUMAR AWARD VB-G-RM-G 2026

Today dated 09/07/2026 32 Maniram Phalidara GPU conducted Gram Sabha 2026 reg GPDP 2026 -2027 Selection of Shravan Kumar Award and VB-G-RM-G 2026 in the presence of Hon’ble Panchayat President, Hon’ble  Vice Panchayat President, Hon’ble Panchayat Members,Hon’ble OSD to MLA SJ Lepcha Sir, SDPO sir from Namchi, Headmistress from Bhanjyang Primary School, ASI from Bhanjyang OP,Hon’ble Ex Panchayat, Respected Ad sir, public from six wards and all the VAC staff.

The Gram Sabha commenced with the National Anthem, followed by the ceremonial offering of a khada to the guests as a gesture of welcome.

The welcome address was delivered, and the GRS Madam Kuntal Chettri presented the activities under the VB-G-RM-G programme.

The Bal Panchayat President then presented the grievances and concerns of the children before the gathering.

The SDPO sir Namchi addressed the participants and created awareness on important issues, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, child marriage, cyber fraud, cyberbullying, digital bullying, drug abuse, and suicide prevention.

The OSD to the Hon’ble MLA also delivered a speech, assuring that the grievances raised by the Bal Panchayat would be forwarded to the higher authorities. He appreciated and congratulated the Gram Panchayat for its positive initiatives and commendable work towards the development of the community.

The Hon’ble Panchayat President Sonam Tamang  spoke about the Shravan Kumar nomination and the GPDP–PAI.The name of the Shravan Kumar candidate  was unanimously approved by the public in the Gram Sabha

The Hon’ble panchayat Member  Indra Gurung emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness around business establishments. He informed all trade licence holders that they are responsible for keeping the surroundings of their shops clean. During inspections, if waste or unhygienic conditions are found near any shop, the concerned shopkeeper’s trade licence may be kept on hold until the issue is rectified.

Finally, the Gram Sabha concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Hon’ble Panchayat Member Indra Gurung.
