Sunaulo Ani Samriddha Sikkim “Connect To Earth”

Converting the fallow land into Agricultural Land by doing cultivation of Millet which was the vision of our Honorable Chief Minister of Sikkim Prem Singh Tamang(Golay)

We 32 Maniram Phalidara GPU under Namchi Block took this initiative to convert the fallow land into Agricultural land through Millet cultivation.

The land was taken on lease for 3 years by VAC and we deeply thanked to the land owner for supporting our Initiatives.

firstly, the land was prepared by clearing Debris,Plowing, leveling to create a conducive environment for crop. And also the area was covered by Agronet to prevent from wild animals.

After leveling and cow manure Millet seeds were sown for these initiatives we got a support from our BDO cum Executive Magistrate he himself joined us during the cultivation of millet,Hon’ble Panchayat’s and entire office functionaries from VAC, and Agriculture & Horticulture Departments staffs also came forward and joined enthusiastically.

This project aimed to utilise the land efficiently,Promote Sustainable Agriculture and enhance crop productivity
