Special gram Sabha on the occasion of World Environment Day
on the occasion of World Environment Day, a Special Gram Sabha conducted at 32-Maniram Phalidara GPU. The programme focused on environmental awareness and sustainable village development
During the meeting, Respected AD Sir sensitized the participants on the importance of environmental protection and conservation. He also discussed the Village Poverty Reduction Plan (VPRP) and emphasized the convergence of VPRP with the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) for holistic and sustainable development.
The Hon'ble Panchayat Member Indra Kumar Gurung addressed the gathering on the importance of integrating Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission with GPDP to ensure effective planning and implementation of developmental activities. The President further elaborated on various development initiatives and schemes being undertaken by the Gram Panchayat.
GRS Madam Kuntala Chettriexplained the Shelf of Works under MGREGA, highlighting the various permissible works and employment opportunities available under the scheme for the benefit of the villagers.
The programme concluded with a detailed address by the Hon'ble Panchayat President Sonam Tamang, who summarized all the discussions and encouraged the villagers to actively participate in environmental conservation, cleanliness drives, and developmental activities for the overall progress of the community.
The entire campaign was conducted in the presence of the Hon ble Panchayat President, Hon'ble Vice President, Hon'ble Ward Panchayats, Respected AD Sir, Public from all six wards and all office staff of the GPU. Their active participation and support ensured the successful implementation of the five-day campaign.
